love them dearly and have listened for years like a comfort podcast as a paying subscriber. more and more lately it seems they completely overlook their audio listeners, or just forget they have them. i listen to similar style podcasts who also video cast in some way, and occasionally you will miss a laugh from a facial expression or something like that. with bnc, however, it’s like 50% of the podcast is basically incoherent over audio alone. they’ll spend long segments referencing photos or things pulled up on screen. every so often there’s a physical bit and it goes unexplained for the audio listeners. they also play a lot of games, especially behind the paywall, that don’t transfer over audio whatsoever. like, i play connections too, but it would never occur to me to record myself thinking out loud through a bunch of jumbled words. it just makes zero sense to me. i haven’t found a way to get the tmg pod subscription to allow any kind of ad-free video access. i sub mostly for ad-free - i also mostly listen while driving so i don’t seek vidcasts anyway. it’s just frustrating, i always feel like i’m missing out and debate my sub. i give three stars bc when all is said & done i truly do love these two, they’re so charming and endearing and i still listen every week. i just feel like for having podcast in the name, it probably works a lotttt better for the vidcast viewers.
New listener but I’m going back and listening to all their episodes and have become a paid subscriber. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m obsessed. In my ear almost 24/7. My new comfort podcast. Could not love them more.
This podcast is what happens when you put two polar opposite people with the exact same sense of humor in a room together. Absolute magic.
Love the witty back and forth, these two make the most mundane things funny and entertaining. True storytellers.
I have been a subscriber for over a year now and unfortunately have to cancel my subscription! I just feel like not much is said in the bonus anymore. A lot of it you need to be viewing the episode to understand what they’re talking about which is usually something boring. The bonus episode used to give you a clear glance into their lives but now it just feels like they are trying to fill the space:/ Unfortunately I have noticed this is starting to bleed into the main episodes where it feels Connor is trying out material the whole time and not ever having a genuine conversation and Brooke is too vague about most things she talks about. If anyone is carrying the weight, it’s Brooke. So sorry but, unsubscribed.
I used to love this show. I was a fan of Brooke & Connor separately on their individual TikToks back in 2020. However, I feel like they haven’t matured at all since then. In fact, they seem dumber now than when they first started. Some episodes have zeroooo context, and are very boring. The silence on the allegations of their bestie Cody Ko has been the final straw. Actually- the final straw was when Connor quoted a Mike Birbiglia “joke” about teachers jerking off to high school students.. HUH?!?! I guess creepy birds of a feather flock in a creepy flock together. Also, Brooke constantly bashing women except Kim K is weird, old, and very “pick-me” behavior. In fact, I think in one episode, she even non-ironically said “I’m just one of the guys.” 😒😒😒 in 2024 Brooke?! You’re beautiful & funny & smart, you don’t need to put down other women & be “one of the guys.” Grooww uuuupppp!
