Riveting, terrifying and through-provoking, as this podcast slowly ratchets up the tension and connects the dots between seemingly disparate societal events and the rise of Christian Nationalism. Yet, also hopeful in that it provides us a roadmap for combating Christian Nationalism and saving Christianity and our Democracy. I can’t wait for the next episode to drop!

This is a well-done and thoughtful deep look at the powerful movement growing in white Christian evangelical culture. The podcast does a nice job showing the struggle pastors face when they don’t go along with this dangerous trend. She also covers the relationship between alt right orgs and the churches. This is critical information right now. This movement won’t go away and will only grow. We need to understand it and how to stop its spread.

This is a fairly extensive dive in the phenomenon of right-wing political Christianity. The conclusions are evidence based rather than data based, which is problematic. You can always find one person who left a cult, but it’s harder to explain why so many aren’t leaving. The interview of the former editor of the Christian Journal in Episode 2 is excellent.

I finally understand what drives the cult and how it happened. This was so helpful in breaking it all down.
