An in depth story about a brave survivor of childhood sexual assault and familial trafficking- something I didn’t even know existed. I hope all people who work in a setting with children will listen and be the helpers children need to get out of these situations before they age out.

The strength I hear in Kait’s voice as she tells of her life is incredibly honest, gut wrenching, but also hopeful. I’m so impressed with Kait’s strength, and Lori is such a wonderful balance and support person. I’ve learned so much about family trafficking, something I had no idea existed. I stand with you both!

As a western New Yorker and high school teacher in the area, this story is so important. I love the interaction between Kait and Laurie. I love the authenticity. I have learned so much from this and my eyes will no longer be closed to this awful crime.
