After reading all of the one star/ negative reviews, it’s clear that those reviews were left by people that didn’t even give this podcast a chance and were already biased. Just like with any other podcast, if it is not for you, you don’t have to listen to it. Moving on… I was already a fan of Kylie and was excited when I heard she was getting her own podcast. I love this podcast! Not only the fact that it is shorter than most others (smart move), but it’s relatable to women and mothers and doesn’t feel fake or pretentious like some do. I had two other podcasts that I listened to regularly, and now this is the third (and my favorite :)
I came to listen only to be supportive. I wanted to support the show’s number 1 podcast position. I stayed because I appreciated how honest and transparent the host and guest were. Then at about the 30 minute mark they started a conversation that really resonated and informed me. Background: I am a Foundation Trustee for Nevada State University. This year trustees were asked to support the building of a sports program. Initially I did a major eye roll. I will work to find funding for education, but sports??? Faculty presented their case and admittedly I was sold. The character development, the community building and the commitment to academics that students learn through sports is exactly what Kylie and Charissa discussed. I immediately sent the podcast to our faculty. I look forward to listening more and learning more. Any advice you can lend on how to find financial support for college sports would be appreciated.
Love to see Kylie talk to women in wide variety of sports , whether athletes, significant others, coaches. Interesting insights on the difference between teams and culture.
Kylie is great. There’s no pretense, it’s just honest, relatable content. I’m the mom of a teen, Kylie has little kids; I’m married to a first responder, she’s married to an ex-NFL player. Still lots of common ground and she somehow seems familiar to me. Love the show.
