The Remnant with Jonah Goldberg

by The Dispatch

In “The Remnant," Jonah Goldberg enlists a “Cannonball Run”-style cast of stars, has-beens, and never-weres to address the most pressing issues of the day. Is America doomed? Has liberalism failed? And will mankind ever invent something better than ‘90s-era “Simpsons?” Mixing political history, pop culture, rank punditry, and shameless book-plugging, Goldberg and guests will have the kinds of conversations we wish they featured on TV. And the nudity will (almost) always be tasteful. Brace your bingo cards.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Great center right podcast, good history lessons and intellectual noodling not just news of the day.

Joe Triad · Aug 2026

“The Government Didn’t Build This” episode was the last bit of convincing I needed to subscribe. Nuanced analysis of Burke, fighting the hypocrisy is being defined by your politics or economics, and being open to critique. Perfect. I just bought an annual subscription.

Be In a Hurry to Think · Apr 2026

The results are in. Our newborn son has decided Jonahs voice is the one that will put him to sleep the fastest and help him stay asleep longer. While this might sound like an insult I assure you it is the highest praise my sleep deprived brain can muster. If I could give two recommendations to those thinking about parenthood it would be to first, have babies in your 20s it possible. Take it from a 37 year old first time parent, your energy level is not the same. Second have some of Jonahs solo podcasts downloaded and on standby. You'll learn a lot and Jonahs soothing voice will work like Pan’s flute on your fussy baby. Five Stars!

krambo89 · Mar 2026

JG is an amazing interviewer and I generally love the topics. I would love to have more discussion about economics and policy and less discussion of politics. I have listened to your podcast from the beginning and I am very grateful for the insights you provide. Thank you!
