What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Keeps me up to date on what’s happening with POTUS in a neutral way while also not insulting my intelligence.

Robafar · Apr 2026

There’s so much political noise these days, and it’s genuinely hard to follow. But thanks to NPR‘s Trump‘s terms, I feel like I’m always aware of the orange man’s latest chaos. While I might be heavily biased, the team at NPR does an amazing job of reporting the facts without picking a side. Highly recommend! But the abundance of ads could be overwhelming some days.

ShineBrightTonight · Mar 2026

Really helpful in understanding breaking news. I like that they only take as much time as needed to report on the topic.

This is an informative and intelligent podcast from which I always learn something. I'm excited that NPR is now expanding it to include election coverage. Go NPR!

RAKGB · Aug 2024

The most recent episode discussing the death of Kirk and the reaction from the administration was shockingly one-sided. No pushback was given by Steve when the guest spoke about how poorly treated the right has been and how that justifies their treatment of all groups that do not hold their beliefs. No corrections were made by Steve when the guest decried the horrors of hate speech, from the left, about the hate speech endorsed by Kirk and his organization. If you’re too fearful to report accurately, then please don’t report on anything. I don’t think this type of journalism will bring back the federal funding that was stripped away by this administration. I don’t think this type of journalism will get any supporters of the current administration to sign up for the premium subscription to NPR. For those of us that are members of marginalized communities, and live at the tip of this spear, your silence could be our death. A death that was celebrated by Kirk, and still celebrated by so many of his followers. Thank you for assisting them in covering up their true mission.

Soggy OR Fan · Sep 2025

While I like that NPR is doing a show dedicated to these trials, please make more of an effort to be nonpartisan. Having a guest comment that she’s “rethinking her life choices” because Ron DeSantis agrees with her on a legal point is not a good look, nor what drew me to this podcast. I think the public want more of the legal explanations and nuances behind these trials rather than hearing one side’s repeatedly characterized as “dumb.” Make that one improvement, and this is a slam dunk.
