The Outlier Podcast

Lauren is legit. She works hard and her work shows it. She’s also a wife, a mother, and a human! When a person works in this field, they cover the most horrific things that humans do to one another. Being able to separate that from real life is difficult, and some may refer to their faith on occasion to understand these actions better. Imagine covering a case when a person harmed a child, then going home to your children. How do you process something that heart wrenching? Lauren is a real person who provides a well-researched perspective and facts on each case. Listening to her is the best of both worlds. It’s like hanging out with a friend who has all of the factual, juicy details of everything you are interested in!

Love this podcast! Excellent research while giving intriguing perspectives! Always looking forward to new episodes!

I love Lauren’s style of interviewing. She’s relatable and just feels like a girlfriend dishing on the top stories! I love her perspective and also her kindness towards her guests. Great show! Love following her on Instagram as well!

I find Lauren's podcast to be consistently engaging and informative. Her voice is very pleasant to listen to, and I eagerly anticipate each new episode.

My biggest issue is that I noticed errors in all of the episodes I listened to. For instance, the host stated that police were called to O.J. Simpson’s home twice (it was actually nine times). I was annoyed, but kept going, hoping it was a simple oversight and wouldn’t happen again. It did, over and over, often enough that I wouldn’t be able to accept anything reported here as fact. Lauren delivers salacious Nancy Grace style coverage, seemingly relying on online commentary to form opinions on cases that have not yet gone to trial. Frankly, I was a little relieved that she didn’t speak about Simpson as if HE were somehow the victim. If you’re into podcasts that cite Fox News as a credible source, victim-blaming and unsolicited commentary on women’s bodies, this is the podcast for you!
