UPDATE: I subscribed to the premium subscription and it’s so worth it!! Deep in the archives with extended episodes and no commercials, feels like a brand new podcast. Thanks for all the years of incredible content! Have loved this podcast for years! Especially the longer stories like Borasca and Whitefall. I fell off for a while, but a few stories keep me coming back. Will we ever go back to Sunfall?

I use to love this show, it was fresh. Amazing stories, and overall terrifying however now I feel like there’s been a 180. The stories are not terrifying anymore just gross. In the earlier years of the podcast the title was well fitting because the stories were so scary sleep wasn’t needed after. Now the stories are just filled with nonsense like sexual abuse, animal torture , etc. It’s all for shock value so it’s more weird than scary and I feel like the show has lost its core. I wish it would go back to true horror with ghost, hauntings, witches, creatures. It’s not to no sleep podcast anymore, should be called the nonsense podcast. I’ve followed and unfollowed because I always have hope they will get back to how to podcast was but not every story is the same thing. Will be unfollowing for good this time.

I used to love this podcast in the earlier seasons. Lately it seems like 99% of the stories are drawn out ‘ship logs’ type of stories or stories that sound like actors just reading scripts back and forth. The stories that are told as actual stories rather than just back and forth script readings are usually really really good! But they seem to be fewer and fewer as the show goes on. Bringing back shorter stories told in story format rather than ‘script reading’ stories would be wonderful, the journal logs and scripts are just not scary or interesting.
