This podcast used to annoy me. I thought it was foolishness. But my 5 year old came into the kitchen this morning telling me about white blood cells and vitamin C from fruits and vegetables. This is like the 3rd time he has developed a knowledge of something good and true from these podcasts. So apparently the silliness really helps the knowledge stick. SO I am a fan of this podcast for some of our down time as it is introducing new concepts that I have not even started teaching yet AND reiterating concepts that I am already teaching! It's silly, it's gross, it's kind of annoying (to an adult) but my boy loves it and is learning from it.
We love all of Mr. Jim’s shows. He is so entertaining and holds kids interests. These have been a great day time quiet time activity compared to screen time.
We had a freak snowstorm this past weekend and had limited entertainment options. My wife sacrificed some battery life to download this show that she’d heard about from another mom. At first out kiddo wondered where the pictures were but he was quickly captivated. We talked about “old radio shows” and “using our imagination”. He loved it and laughed at all the silly bits. 10/10 would recommend for any preschool parent.
Mr. Jim is so creative with his stories! Our kids LOVE them and look forward to listening to them every day! He is so animated and makes the stories so fun! Great road tripping podcast as well! ;)
My kid loves this podcast, but on the podcast they invite kids to join the spy team by going to the website and filling out a form for an access card. We did this, but the website is glitchy and there’s no confirmation that the form was received. I messaged the podcast page first through the website then via Facebook, and despite my fb message being marked as “read,” the person who received the message will not reply to me. My son is disappointed and asking every day if his access card will come in. So to the Mr Jim team, we appreciate your podcasts, but please don’t advertise something to young hopeful kids then not follow through or even respond to messages.
The podcast is good, but it takes so long for one podcast to load. And it’s kinda annoying when you have to wait like… a week for part 2 or 3 to come up. But the content is amazing 🤩!
