I don’t really review. But, episode 109 is my calm spot. It takes me on a trip and lowers me into a close hug and makes me okay. I always come back to it when I need to calm my head. So, thank you Night Vale.
Although it’s sort of a brain off kinda podcast, it’s amazing in its surreal storytelling. It makes you wonder constantly about what happens next, even if you have no clue what just happened (it’s confusing) and if you ask me that makes the perfect podcast.
Welcome to Night Vale is one of the few broadcasts worthy of echoing through the abyss between stars. Cecil speaks with the soothing certainty of one who has long accepted that reality is negotiable, and I find that comforting. Five dark stars. May your geometry remain pleasantly non-Euclidean, your weather appropriately ominous, and may you never make direct eye contact with the Dog Park.
I listen to this show whenever it comes on, It always gives great heads up for local happenings. It’s also helped me ignore the strange clawing feeling pounding all through my body, sending my blood ablaze late at night when the only sound is my own shaky breath, the tick of the clock, and the steady tapping at my window :) Also Cecil I’m so happy for you and Carlos, i hope you guys know you’re the cutest couple in Night Vale :D
I’ve loved this podcast for years, but the most recent episode was poorly written and I’m really sad about it. The twist didn’t make sense and felt like it was sacrilegious just for shock value rather than in a way that made sense for the story. You were building up to this for so long and it didn’t feel like that buildup paid off 😕.
I love Welcome to Night Vale and I was excited to start from the beginning and listen again and catch back up but to my surprise and horror there is an ad break inserted immediately after the weather that ruins the mood of the podcast and just gets me mad because there are multiple ads at the beginning and end of the podcast already. They do a wonderful job of setting up the structure of the episode and then breaking for the weather but having an ad break immediately after that just completely ruins it and I'm not sure if I'm going to continue listening which is a bummer because I love the world of Night Vale. Truly a terrible choice, please make a change!
