FATHOM was the most gripping audio story I’ve heard yet. The writing, audio production, and voice acting sets a new bar for all people who aspire to produce this kind of work.

I think I’ve listened to every halfway decent (and many less than decent) speculative fiction podcast out there, and virtually all have a fatal flaw - except Derelict.
The excellent writing creates characters that actually make you feel something - good or bad - and provides compelling narratives.
Each episode ends on what feels like a cliffhanger, so be ready to binge!
The audio effects are excellent and don’t deafen you with sudden explosions, and most critically, every voice actor is superb. Bad acting has killed many a podcast for me.
I particularly love Agent Blayne, and every time he apparently gets killed off, I fear that it’s the last time we’ll hear from him. No matter how good the episodes without him are, I’m always waiting for him to come back.
The contrast between his dorky catchphrases - usually spoken just before some horrific, painful, life-threatening event happens - such as “nuts” and “this is gonna hurt” make him and his almost-superhuman heroics all the more endearing.
Please don’t ever kill him off or otherwise remove him from the show. He is its beating heart. Agent Blayne 4ever!

It’s a high-quality podcast. Fantastic acting, professional mixing, and drama-filled story. Season 1 is definitely 5 stars. Season 2 is reasonably exciting but the final 3-4 episodes suffer from overproduction: too many complicated subplots, too many pointless action sequences that don’t work well for audio, and most annoyingly, I had great difficulty understanding the Alpha’s words. It seemed to get much worse about halfway through the season.

Great story, great audio effects, great actors telling a great story. I’ve listened to season 1 3 times and it doesn’t get old. Love this! Can’t wait for next season!!

I’m trying to enjoy the storyline, but the sound effects and voice distortions are way overdone. Can barely understand the actual words. Almost like the sound effects guy really wants to steal the show.
