What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I don’t actually live in LA (OC girl here), and I’m not actually able visit most of the restaurants Luca highlights. However, I do love learning about chefs, cooking, LA food and media issues that Luca covers in his pod. His interviews are professional, well researched, and insightful, but also casual enough that you feel like you are there with them. Similarity his co-hosts Sal and Karen both offer different perspectives on LA. Karen being a writer offers a unique insiders view of LA food, and Sal’s chemistry with Luca as his lifelong friend truly make his episodes special. Overall, I continue to listen because Luca has a gift in turning his passion for food and media into something interesting and entertaining. Love listening along every morning, and feeling like I’m hanging out with some friends that love food as much as I do.

OCGirlLovesLA · Feb 2026

A really great way to catch up with local and national going-ons around food! Luca has a really great balance of detail and seriousness that makes it easy to relate.

Asang490 · Feb 2026

Informative, insightful, tragic and hilarious. Always looking forward to the next one!

Ezra Salkin · Dec 2024

Love how knowledgeable the host is on his subject. You can feel the food love. I have found a lot of new places to eat from this pod. Very entertaining!
