I’m constantly reading and listening to Horror Fiction. And since I love horror audiobooks, a friend suggested that I check out some Horror Podcasts. I had no clue there were so many Horror Anthology types of podcasts. I went through quite a few podcasts and now I have a handful of favorites. HorrorBabble is definitely at the top of my list! The stories chosen and the narration is absolute ACES!!! I can’t get enough!!

Take the nit-picky reviews with a grain of salt, people like that tend to ruin reputations just to feel important. Opinions are just opinions. HorrorBabble produces the best episodes in the style of “radio dramas”, the narrator reads so well & very professional- his voice is rich & expresses characters and emotions so crisp, you can HEAR the difference of each character in the stories, and their complete compilation of Lovecreaft stories is the BEST that’s ever made- it’s always a joy to listen to their podcasts & youtube videos! <3

Not since the old Terror Radio internet radio show of the early 2000s has a podcast so squarely and consistently hit the mark for this type of audio horror. Top marks!

Overall it’s a good pod but when listening to a story and you do different people reading for different characters, maybe have someone that can do an old man voice well for a 94 year old. Sounds weird with a feminine voice. Otherwise solid

I initally left a favorable review praising this as one of the better podcasts out there. However after reaching episode 100 I can confidently say that is not the case. For some baffling reason the readers insist on putting advertisements IN THE MIDDLE OF THERE STORIES making them practically unlistenable. Often times these ads are in the middle of sentences or completly unnatural places that ruin focus and immersion. I tried to listen despite this I really did but after having to constantly rewinding just to understand what was going on because the flow of the story was broken up I've given up. I understand artists need to eat and I wouldn't bat an eye if the advertisements were at the beginning or end of the podcast. But for some reason they went with this option which is incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse I am a patreon and there is no way to get a feed without advertisements. I thought the reason I was paying $36 dollars a year ON TOP OF AUDIBLE was so they didn't need to resort to advertisements of this kind? Why not advertise you have a patreon and put ads in a sensible place? Well I'm unsubscribing from this podcast with a heavy heart and cancelling my Patreon. Clearly the support and money is not appreciated.
