I was a fan of the show and now I’m a super fan. Plus all the inside info and stories about tv and movies and culture. Michael and Steve don’t hold back.

If you are doing a Soprano’s rewatch, there isn’t a better complement than what Steve and Michael provide! Great guests, awesome anecdotes and only these two could fill in the many blanks that you are left with after each episode. 5 of 5 stars!

Just discovered this podcast a couple months ago. Very insightful and entertaining! It inspired me to rewatch the series (for the umpteenth time) in conjunction with the podcast episodes. Steve and Micheal just keep getting better. You can tell these guys have history and chemistry, as they are real-life fiends. Admittedly the first couple of episodes started out a little rough. Yes...Steve came off a little crass and vulgar and tended to interrupt Michael..a lot...but he's a comedian and it's a podcast about a mobster show ...lighten the eff up people! Michael came off a little stiff and dry to the point I almost thought he was uninterested. But they quickly found their stride… Steve dialed it down (34% ) and Michael lighted up and the groove was found. Steve's no nonsense straightforward philosophy and Michael's introspection balance beautifully. And the guests run the gamut from in front of the camera and behind the camera... actors, directors, writers and crew. Not only is it an amazing insightful look at the Sopranos the podcast gives a great education on the inner workings of the entertainment industry. I know it's been a few years, but I really hope they find a way to bring this back. I hope to catch a Talking Sopranos tour date someday soon! Thanks, Micheal and Steve for sharing your talents and experiences with the world.

When I finish viewing The Sopranos for the second time and listening to this podcast after each episode? The analysis of each scene is fun, informative and deep! Michael and Steve complement each other very nicely, presenting different types of participant observers of both the show and life itself! Thanks!

Big thank you to hosts Michael and Steven and the team behind this fun, illuminating and wholly exceptional podcast. I hadn’t seen The Sopranos since it ended and when I found this podcast just a couple months ago, I started rewatching. It’s so hard not to binge, and I’m only a couple episodes ahead of where I am with the pod, now late in season two, but I want to try and be in sync. This is just perfect and I can’t thank you enough.

Steve almost ruins the entire series with his constant sexism. He believes a woman place in the world is to cater to men and humble themselves to only the roles men see them fulfilling. If a wife or girlfriend isn’t 100% supportive, understanding and forgiving of their male “owner” in every scene - no matter how the man treats the woman - she is not good enough. Steve is not just talking Sopranos - this is how he really feels. Couldn’t the producers have figured out how this would turn off the female fans of the show after the first season & replaced Steve with another cast member who could prevent the constant drone of misogynistic commentary? Michael seems genuinely uncomfortable with some of Steve’s disses, but, there are so many “a gumba’s job is make every night Saturday Night for her man” that he cannot be fact-checking every 5 minutes. Yes - Steve judges the male characters for their criminality, but rarely for how they fail to be good partners to the female characters they use.
