This podcast is such a treat. Robert Diament and Russell Tovey guide listeners on an auditory journey exploring multiple artistic mediums from scores of creatives around the world. Their inclusion of queer, feminist and other minority artists on this platform is a triumph. This is a must listen podcast for anyone interested in art and particularly those looking to expand their understanding of other cultures and social/political movements and the role art plays in human evolution. 5/5!

This is an essential listen with a thoughtful and curious and loving approach to putting unsung work up front. In fact, this podcast has made me love art more, made me more curious, and inspired me to a more rigorous and thoughtful consideration of art.

At first I had a hard time cutting through the chattiness of this podcast, but after years of listening I feel like the hosts are my best art friends and art daddies. I adore them. They are so sweet and silly and smart and kind. Most importantly, they have great taste — I appreciate the range of artists that they feature from the babies to the gods. I have discovered so many amazing artists here. Thank you so much for keeping me company while I paint and inspiring me to keep going.

This episode is very precious to me. I am a docent at the Seattle Art Museum and I shall be giving tours of Amoako Boafo’s show Soul of Black Folks this summer of 2023. I have read tons and watched YouTube interviews galore. This conversation that you hosted is deep and real and Amoako seems to be right here in the room with me. Thank you for your sensitive work which allows artists to be authentic and present.

I’ve listened to one episode (Noel Fielding- he’s so great!), and it was rough to get through! Robert routinely interrupted and spoke over Noel, the guest, who was attempting to answer a question. It was so difficult to listen to due to this annoying habit. I understand the idea of being excited about a guest, but the frequency of interruptions and Noel’s inability to answer made it very unprofessional.

Now that there are commercials in this podcast I find it terribly annoying that they are extraordinarily too loud! if I find that they are not turned down soon I will have to dump this podcast even though I love these guys and I love what they offer everybody.
Also, most of the time the sound quality is really bad coming from end of the artists that they interview. I'm sure there's plenty of time for the hosts to lend them a decent microphone to use for the interview which could then be sent back. It's very difficult to hear these amazing artists talk from what seems like a cave or a huge warehouse. These things really disrupt the entire environment of the podcast. Again, super annoying and makes me not want to listen.
