The iFanboy.com Comic Book Podcast is a weekly talk show all about the best new current comic book releases. Lifelong friends, Conor Kilpatrick and Josh Flanagan talk about what they loved and (sometimes) hated in the current weekly books, from publishers like Marvel, DC, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, BOOM! Studios, IDW, Aftershock, Valiant, and more. The aim is to have a fun time, some laughs, but to also really understand what makes comic books work and what doesn’t, and trying to understand the craft of this great, often under appreciated art form. Sometimes they agree, and sometimes… they don’t. With decades of experience talking about comics, interacting with comic book professionals, this is all about the love of an art form. If the names Brian Michael Bendis, Amanda Conner, Geoff Johns, Gene Luen Yang, Donny Cates, Jason Aaron, Kelly Thompson, David Marquez, Kelly Sue de Connick, Kieron Gillen, Charles Soule, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Scott Snyder, Tom King, Mitch Gerads, Esad Ribic, Rick Remender, Nick Spencer, John Ridley, Skottie Young, Chip Zdarsky, Jöelle Jones, David F. Walker, Grant Morrison, and Darwyn Cooke get you excited, then this is the place for you. This podcast is so good, you don’t even need to read comic books or graphic novels to enjoy it, but it’s a lot better if you do.

The iFanboy crew have been reviewing and analyzing the weekly comic book releases for 25 years first on their website and then the shift over to podcasting 5 years later. Over the past 20 years Conor, Josh, Ron and the rest of their crew of rotating guest hosts have been able to review and offer some great insight into the comic book medium with the Pick of the Week podcast. They were some of the first comic book podcasts to gain support and respect with their insight and fair critiques of the comics from the then up and coming creators of the time who have gone on to become some of the biggest names today. This is definitely worth a listen if you are comic book reader or a lapsed fan who wants to try and know what is happening in the world of comics.
I have been listening to Ifanboy for years now. This is a podcast I always look forward to each week and each special episode. It might take you an episode to get in the groove and know the people and the format. But I always laugh and have so much fun even if they arent talking about books that I read. Their criteques are fair and make me think about what I read more. All I can say is that this podcast is great, fun and something that is easy to enjoy and you should give it a try!!
THE podcast to listen to for weekly view of the new comics you need to know about. The hosts’ opinions are perfect… not too ‘fanboyish’ and not too cynical or jaded. Their love for the medium really comes thru, but they’re also not afraid to be critical when they think it’s needed.
I've been listening to these guys since almost day one. And through all that time they have been consistently the best comic book show anywhere. After 931 shows PLUS all the hundreds of "splode" specials, they shouldn't stop now. If they did, It would be like not having green grass. Sure you may not need it, but life would be much less beautiful.
