Rock Bottom With Ned Fulmer

I am a big fan of the podcast, mainly because I love listening to Ariel and Ned talk about any topic. Although I am not planning on having kids (it’s not a stone-hard decision, but I have no maternal instinct to have any), it was still fun to listen to the many sides of parenthood, both good and bad. Being a woman who has only heard the glamorous side of motherhood so I would be convinced to have some of my own, I enjoy the honesty and the unexpected events that can happen. Hoping more will come as the kids grow up.

I’m absolutely loving the episodes I’ve gotten to so far I’m genuinely learning a lot and trying to put some things into my daily parenting. I would love an episode on the transition from 1 to 2 kids. I’m pregnant with my second and due in early January. I’m absolutely terrified but you guys seem to have it managed I would love some more in depth tips on that!

I look forward to this pod every week. It’s honest and incredibly hilarious. Listening while currently pregnant is so helpful!

Loved this week’s episode, especially hearing Rachel’s story about infertility. We went through years of infertility, and tried IUI 7 times before realizing that we were meant to create our family through adoption. Adoption isn’t though everyone. It’s incredibly expensive, there are a LOT of misconceptions about how it works, and there is still a stigma is a “lesser choice” (it absolutely isn’t). You have to give up your dreams of being pregnant (which I never had, I just wanted to be a mom), and realize that being a parent is the most important thing. If you can’t do that, adoption isn’t for you. We weren’t there for her birth, never met the birthparents, didn’t know she was coming until she was already here. But we get to be there for her 1st words, her 1st steps, the cuddles in the middle of the night, etc. Ariel, you should find an adoptive mom/couple to be on this show.
