I understand that this podcast focuses on scandals, and I was prepared for dramatic and shocking stories. However, what made me uncomfortable was the overwhelming focus on scandals from China, despite the host not being Chinese.

There’s nothing wrong with telling stories from different cultures, but when a storyteller repeatedly picks stories from one country—especially ones that reinforce negative stereotypes—it starts to feel biased. It left me wondering: why is China being singled out? Are there no scandals worth discussing from other cultures?

Storytelling carries weight, especially when it crosses cultural lines. I hope the host considers broadening the scope to include stories from a more diverse range of backgrounds in future episodes.
