The conversation with Leanne Rimes was one the best I’ve heard in a long time. I felt so understood and validated. Also, I didn’t really know much about her going into this episode, but I loved her humility and how well she articulated how so many of us are feeling navigating perimenopause. You are also a wonderful host who actually listens and allows their guests to speak. Thanks for all you do!!
Mindy, thank you so much for the June 10 episode. I always loved listening to you and your advice, most of it was great and applicable to my life and goals. One thing I noticed that often times advice was rigid. It makes so much sense with your athletic background. I am so happy that you are embracing more intuitive guidance that our bodies can provide instead. If we only get still enough and clear enough to listen and hear our own body’s guidance! Women often struggle with managing cortisol levels and I believe if we allow ourselves to slow down, breathe, be in nature, meditate and treat ourselves with more kindness, many issues will gradually go away. If we want peace and harmony in life, we need to allow the harmony in our selves, our bodies and hearts. Thank you very much for all your work!! Sasha
I’ve been a listener for a long time and I appreciate this content very much. I would love for more practitioners to be speaking about iodine deficiency and history of de-iodizing our food in favor of bromine, and the significant negative impacts that the lack of iodine, in particularly women’s bodies, have on our ability to produce hormones properly.
OmG! Thank you! Thank you!! I am a 50 yr old female, (closer to 51) in perimenopause with a regular cycle still and very few menopause symptoms. Yet every time I mention to my girlfriends or to anyone that I had a sleepless night or a mood swing EVERYONE of them tells me I should be getting on HRT. Despite my pushback, despite me insisting that I hardly have any symptoms they all tell me my symptoms are gonna get worse and I should get on it now to combat the onslaught! But my inner voice has been telling me no & that I don’t want it. But it seems all platforms, all interviews & articles about menopause are all pushing HRT, telling us it’s safe now, that they got it wrong that we all need to take it and feel better and I felt like no one was looking at the bigger picture- at the reasons behind these awful menopause symptoms so many women are suffering with. I truly felt like leaping in the air listening to this interview because at last someone is looking at this from the inside out. Or outside in! My mother died of Ovarian Cancer at 49 yrs old. I know for a fact she was already on HRT from age 48. I also know she took birth control for many years. I have never taken birth control and for the most part I have had a regular cycle with hardly any issues for most of my life. I got pregnant with no issues, both times as soon as we started trying, and I had two natural births and breast-fed both my children. Since I started listening to Mindy, I have been fasting (like a girl) and I have integrated strength training into my life six days a week. I also walk 3 to 5 miles every day. I don’t eat processed food or drink sodas - my only vices are wine and a takeout once a week! I eat more protein than carbohydrate, and I supplement with probiotics and magnesium. The changes that I have made over the last two years I feel have changed how my symptoms for menopause are manifesting. I agree with everything Dr. Nasha said about lifestyle changes before HRT. I only wish this was the main message being pushed to women rather than the constant dialogue about HRT being the be all and end all. Thank you again for the most informative and impactful interview.
