Adam makes me LOL more than almost any other podcaster. Is it niche? Maybe. Is it coherent? Rarely. Do I live for it? No, but I LOVE IT
This podcast is a little bit of a slow burn. The first and second episodes are decent, but I think by the third, Adam has found his groove. I think the acknowledgment of his excess usage of bells and electronic sounds was a good move and has endeared me even more to him. I was particularly shook when he revealed that he is a Spectrum Mobile subscriber because I too am a subscriber and I’m terrified at what will happen if I ever leave the LA area.
I’ve been a fan of Adam since his skating days and enjoyed his previous podcast, so I was happy to find this. Apparently, it’s just whatever Adam wants to yap about, which is fantastic. But yes, the sound effects are just WAY too many and sound cheap. I get why they use them, because it’s only Adam speaking with no break, but it’s very distracting. I did enjoy Adam’s extended rant about the darkness of Wicked, tanning beds, and cataract surgery set to “Ave Maria,” so there’s that.
The content, the sound effects…..the perfect controlled chaos. Here for it. Thanks Adam- you make me laugh and who doesn’t need that!?
