I want to love this podcast. It’s an interesting concept and everyone has a work story, so theoretically endless content exists. But …. The storytellers need to be coached to tell better stories. Some are seemingly endless. (I never want to hear another rambling word from John the videographer ever again!) Some are super repetitive. Some could stand to elaborate more. I also think the host would benefit from a cohost to help reflect on the stories and transition to the next. I’ll keep following for a few weeks because I know it’s a new show and they’re getting in their rhythm. But I’m hoping they get more content from diverse storytellers soon.

came to this show as a big fan of first-person account podcasts like Radio Rental, Unnerved, and Otherworld. Based on the description, I was expecting a similar style of focused, immersive storytelling.
Instead, the format is very conversational with a "locker room" banter style. For me, that completely breaks the immersion—especially when dealing with heavy themes like paranormal encounters, strange events, or near-death experiences. Having serious or unsettling stories paired with constant background laughing and banter felt off-tone and awkward.
If you like casual, chatty host reactions over serious topics, you might enjoy this. But if you're looking for atmospheric, engrossing first-person narrative audio, this host style probably isn't for you.
