I so appreciate this podcast and your efforts to correct the injustices of the past (and present). As a cisgender male, I’m constantly horrified and humbled by the tyranny of men over centuries. Also not surprised by the role of religion and politics in vilifying individuals in the pursuit of power and social control. Thank you for bringing this to the world (I’m in the US). I’ve shared this with all my male and female “witchy” friends and loved ones—and “witchy” as a complete compliment!
This is the first podcast I have ever gotten into! I’m in the United States, but my Great-Grandparents were from Scotland (and I currently have family in Scotland and Britain) so it’s history has always been of interest to me. Even if I DIDN’T it would be impossible to listen to this series and not care about the women whose lives were destroyed in this way for such a terrible period. It is an incredible and noble pursuit to remember these women and tell their stories, and there is so much we have to learn as a human race about ourselves from confronting our most horrific periods and seeking justice for those who have been wronged, even several centuries later! Thank you for making such an evocative, intelligent, beautiful and haunting podcast series! Nothing like this exists and it is very much needed around the world!
I love these ladies. They have the perfect background for bringing us this old historic information about what happened in our society when women followed their hearts and their calling. They’reEfforts to clear the names of these women seem very hopeful and a noble cause to take on. I can’t wait each week for the next new podcast. The historians they have had on are so good and so well educated that you can’t deny this information.
Fascinating! I’m addicted, not only on the history discovered on each episode , but more so the insanity( for lack of proper words)that prevailed during the inquisitions/trials.
