This is by far my favorite Phillies podcast out there. James and Jack have their finger on the pulse of what’s going on with this baseball team. They are authentic, life-long Phillies fans and it shows. The little sprinkles of sarcasm throughout the episodes makes it *chef’s kiss* for me. I’m always ecstatic when a new episode drops into my feed.

September 2024 update - the new opening theme song is hard to endure. Other than that, this has been my go to Phils pod for 5 years now! Original review: These guys have really renewed my interest in Phillies baseball. I listen to them almost every time I’m in the car and they do an awesome job keeping me in the know with my favorite sports team. Jack is a brilliant seamhead with great insight and James is the perfect sidekick to play off of Jack’s more logistical demeanor. I listened to several different Phils podcasts this year and, after finding High Hopes, those other shows aren’t on my download list any longer. Jack and James are all I need! Keep up the great work guys.

I am writing this review today to comment on what a great job you guys did throughout the season and the postseason. I love High Hopes, because, even when the Phillies lose or choke it is a place to commiserate together. Most of the city will go back to business as usual, and just chalk it up to the natural order of things, but we who live in die with the team every day never really get over these moments. I live in Florida now, but I have been a fan of the Phillies for over 50 years. And I am still angry and sad on this Friday when the World Series is about to start! I will be ready to cheer again in spring training! I learned to know and love Phillies’ baseball from Richie Ashburn and Harry Kalas. Now I am a loyal High Hopes listener, because you guys carry on their tradition of telling it like it is! Thank you again, and keep it up! I hope to make it up to Philly for a High Hopes event sometime! Have one in Clearwater during spring training and I’ll be there! Go Phillies!

All he does is scream & clap into the mic making the audio unlistenable. You’re an adult, chill out with the clapping & screaming like a preteen boy. It makes the audio sound so bad 8/2/24 update - Wow so i left the above review a week ago. I try to give this podcast another go today. Within the first 3-5 minutes the man child James is screaming & bashing his counter making the audio literally hurt to listen to. I’ve never listened to a podcast that cares so little about their audio quality
