This podcast is definitely useful for learning French, with it being possible to understand the storyline even if you don’t know French at all. As your French gets better, you will start to understand more and more of the episodes.
However, very little slang is used in the episodes, so this podcast does not actually help you understand how real people talk.
Additionally, most of the storylines happen in Paris, and if not in Paris, then somewhere else in France. I would personally appreciate having a lot more episodes from Québec and North Africa. The accents are very different, and getting practice with them is important.
Finally, it would be nice if the storylines were a little less predictable.

Love the serialized season on Josephine Baker!! Really enjoying listening to it and I’m engaged the whole way through. 4 stars only because I listened to some of the re-visited episodes from this season and the audio quality on the French is quite poor. Much prefer the acted / serialized episodes.
