When Carly Parker's friend Yumiko goes missing under very mysterious circumstances, Carly's search for her friend leads her headfirst into a ancient mysterious game known only as Rabbits. Soon Carly begins to suspect that Rabbits is much more than just a game, and that the key to understanding Rabbits, might be the key to the survival of our species, and the Universe, as we know it.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I read the books first and really enjoyed them both. The podcast lives up to my expectations. Production, pacing, writing, and sound design are all excellent.

The production quality is great. The audio and sound effects are well done. Where this podcast lacks is in the writing. It feels like it’s trying way too hard. Like Tanis, this podcast is overwritten. It seems like several new storylines are introduced every episode but go nowhere. I’ve listened to several episodes and am losing interest quickly because I don’t feel like the story advances at all. There’s no cohesion. It‘s like listening to someone ramble on about a series of unrelated topics and events. It’s a convoluted mess. I like the concept of the story, but don’t feel like I am getting anywhere when I listen. The plot isn’t advancing at all and it’s simply frustrating.

Moondogg Matt · Aug 2024

Characters don’t speak like real people. For example repeatedly asking “why” and “what do you mean” over and over, or referring to major events in their life as “since the last season of rabbits ended”. The poor dialogue writing really took me out of the story.

Merrick G · Feb 2024

I loved the first season!! The protagonist had motivation and the story was intriguing and captivating. The second season did not have that same intrigue and the protagonist felt flat. I understood why Carly Parker was playing the game but not why Riley was, especially after The Magician told her to stop. The second season did not answer any questions about the game. It also created more questions that it also did not answer. It gave me a very dissatisfying ending.
