Think you know everything about D Day? Ya don’t! The historical details are astonishing , delivered by a perfect narrator alongside first person recollections of each element of the Normandy invasion. Amd there are sooooo many elements. Listen to this and it’s like you are living it as it happens. The movie forms in your mind as the events unfurl.

Outstanding. Well produced. To hear the story of a man who was there, on the beach in France at 20 yrs old. We owe these men more than we will ever know. It was good to hear the story from the point of view of a son. My grandfather too was there at D-Day albeit aboard a ship at that time. My grandfather was in an LCVP crew from the LST 310. He participated in the invasion of Sicily and at Salerno prior to D-Day. He along with 5 of his brothers served during the war. Hearing this story of Mr McGann reminded me of the stories my grandfather told. Thank you for show overall and especially episode 8. Best,

Even WW2 history buffs will probably learn something new from this series. The research and writing is top notch. Paul McCann's narration is delivered with the seriousness and pace this subject deserves. He’s one of the best presenters in his field.

Absolutely fantastic podcast. I’m so glad I stumbled across it and can’t wait for each episode every week. Well researched, and told with passion. It listens like a story being told and less like a history lesson
