Wow. in the end, I really couldn’t finish this one. I think it’s unquestionably true that the FBI overstepped and overcharged in this whole ridiculous situation. But if this podcast itself used the words racism or misogyny, I sure missed it. Because this story is about a group of white male supremacists, and when they say they want to take back America, that’s what they mean. Return to the days of total, unchecked, white male supremacy. It is racist, and it is sexist, and it is homophobic. It is disgusting, and yet these fellas were talked about like they were aw shucks sweet guys just a little mixed up who enjoyed bonfires and weed. Golly gee. The fact that nobody putting on this podcast addressed the truth of their belief system is disgusting. And they went further than that. They low-key compared these men to the Black Panthers, who were oppressed by society and the government. And they compared them to Muslims after 911, who were oppressed by society and the government. I’m sorry—who is oppressing these violent white men? It is vile to compare these groups to a bunch of white male supremacists in the woods threatening to murder women and any other group who didn’t want to be under their boot JUST BECAUSE the FBI behaved poorly. What the everloving F. Was a single person of color involved in this? White supremacy, indeed.
