I think my wife found this through REI. She sent me an episode that featured a criminal who claimed to be an Eagle Scout, since I’m an Eagle Scout and am heavily involved in scouting. I was swiftly enthralled. At work, over the last couple months I have been binging this from the beginning. I dread the day I get caught up and will have to wait for new releases. Whitney and Katie are hilarious, yet knowledgeable and give you other perspectives. I’m enamored by Katie’s “sugar free” irreverence. Whitney provides the balance with a more subdued commentary, though she can get snarky, as well. When I hear “Well, campers, that was a wild one,” I feel a slight let down because I know that one is over. Thankfully, I still have a couple of years of episodes to binge.

I just discovered this podcast three days ago and I am already completely hooked. I honestly feel like I’ve found new friends in Katie and Whitney.
They are incredibly thoughtful, well researched, and respectful in the way they tell each story. The cases are presented clearly and thoroughly without ever feeling overwhelming. At the same time, their chemistry is so natural that it feels relaxed and conversational, like you’re sitting right there with them around a campfire.
It’s rare to find something that is both deeply informative and genuinely calming, but they’ve somehow nailed that balance. I look forward to listening every day now. I’m so happy I found this podcast.
