A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Let’s get this rig rollin’. If you listed to Jimmy’s podcast before, this will be more of the same great content but better. More episodes means more great takes, more ball busting and more gambling, Seinfeld and Curb talk. Love hearing about your beach days and food odysseys. Doesn’t get any better. Welcome back.

I was a longtime listener of Jimmy’s SI Media podcast and couldn’t be happier to follow him into this next chapter. Jimmy has always had a rare ability to make sports media interesting, informative and entertaining without taking himself too seriously. His interviews feel like conversations rather than interviews, and one of my favorite parts of the old podcast was his chemistry with Sal. Their conversations could move effortlessly from sports and media to Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Sopranos, food, family and the everyday things driving them crazy. I don’t know what role Sal will have in the new podcast or if he’ll be able to participate weekly like he did before, but I certainly hope we still get plenty of Jimmy and Sal together. Their chemistry is hard to duplicate. Leaving Sports Illustrated after more than 20 years couldn’t have been an easy decision, but sometimes one door closes and a better one opens. Jimmy now has an opportunity to build something of his own, and I’m excited to see where he takes it. If you enjoyed Jimmy before, follow him here. I certainly will.

This is an easy review! This new pod is going to be outstanding. If you enjoyed the SI Media with Jimmy Traina podcast, you will now have three episodes a week to listen to. Jimmy is an outstanding interviewer and his banter with Sal Licata is always a treat. Make sure to like and subscribe!! Can’t wait for the first episode to drop!
