Jessica Radloff does an excellent job of interviewing many of the key players who made the show one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. The insights into the back stories, how and why decisions were made, and how the show impacted them are interesting and informative. I usually go rewatch each episode that is the topic of the podcast. The pace is good and they’re never boring.

My husband & I loved listening to the audiobook that Jessica wrote about the making of the Big Band Theory. So I was so excited to see that she is now giving us the podcast we’ve all been waiting for! So glad we finally have a BBT re-watch podcast! Jessica does a great job with the re-caps & brings us plenty of special guests. Super entertaining conversations with fun behind-the-scenes details from cast & crew!

I get that Jessica Radloff is pretty much an expert on TBBT and gets great guests. I learn cool things about each episode in this podcast. But she fawns so hard over everyone it’s really annoying. She needs to dial it down a couple notches and approach this as an interview and not a conversation between two insiders. And I’m pretty sure she has a contract to mention that the show is available on Max a specific number of times per podcast. Maybe mention once at the beginning and trust we will remember.

My enjoyment of this podcast changes from week to week thanks mostly to the guests. Some of them are pretty dull and it’s up to the host to carry the show and try to extract anything from them apart from, “I don’t remember.” But every now then you get a guest who actually seems excited to be there and a real conversation gets going. Those are the best episodes.

I was so excited about this podcast, I am a huge sitcom fan. I am a little disappointed as to how dry and boring this podcast gets. TBBT is one of my favorite shows, and I think there’s so much material that could be used to make this podcast interesting and fun. But even with really engaging guests this podcast just doesn’t seem to make me excited to listen to. Maybe it’s lacking dynamism, or a co-host. I do hope this gets better. We’ll see.

Big bang is absolutely one of my comfort shows. This podcast needs to be reworked. It is slow, dry, and boring. How is that possible? The show is the opposite. I think they need to find a secondary or tertiary character to host. Someone with some personality and timing. The Good Place podcast did that and it was great. New Girl, too (but with show primaries). Maybe Kate Micucci or Riki Lindholm or Jack McBrayer?!?
