What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This is a long overdue gratitude. I started listening to Tom a decade ago at the beginning of my leadership journey, and his exceptional coaching has been foundational to my career. As a senior executive, I continue to learn from him, and regularly share his podcast with colleagues. So many thanks!

While many of the clients the coaching stories are about are executives, the lessons and tools are applicable to all levels of leadership. Each episode is perfect for a morning commute and usually ends with specific actions you can practice that day.

Tom Henschel has given us yet another fabulous and important podcast! When I listened to this podcast and reflected on coaching clients, I was reminded how important it is to have the ability to provide clients with practical and helpful tips for self-management. Tom offers such in this podcast. Take time to listen and check the new resources he has provided. Ed Nottingham, PhD, PCC

EJN4 · Jun 2026

Listening to The Look and Sound of Leadership, Tom’s framing of humility as confidence without defensiveness really stayed with me. It’s a powerful and practical definition. It invites an honest self-check: What am I truly confident in—and when that confidence is challenged, how do I respond? With curiosity and steadiness, or with armor? This episode offers a grounded reminder that humility isn’t about shrinking; it’s about being secure enough to stay open. I appreciate Tom’s voice and perspective and often direct my coaching clients to his podcast. Here’s another great episode to share.
