Have been listening to Kevin for years and it’s hard to go a day without listening on the radio or the podcast. Always great guests and love hearing Tommy another DC legend. Is can’t miss if you are DC sports fan
I have listened to Kevin and Thom for years but could never figure out how to rate them. They have an excellent podcast and are a fixture in my life when I’m driving or walking. I particularly enjoy their conversations having nothing to do with sports.
Thank you Kevin for your magnificent podcast. No matter the season, your show is must-listen, especially when Tommy is with you. Loved the “How Good Was He” episode, mine is Gary Clark, my favorite player as a kid. I still get chills every time there is a clip where John Madden says “Gary Clark plays WR like a LB.” This episode got me thinking, what past sports moments would I wish you and Tommy did a podcast for after the game. Here are five I thought of that I wish I heard in the moment from you and Tommy (excluding championships). 1. Duke at Maryland Men’s 2002 (Oh the Steal Game) 2. Maryland Men beat UMass, 1994 NCAA Tournament 3. Redskins at Bears Playoffs Jan 1988 (Darrell Green Punt Return) 4. Redskins beat Vikings Playoffs Jan 1983 (Would love you and Tommy talking about the potential Skins Jets Super Bowl) 5. Mariners at Orioles Game 4 1997 ALDS (Orioles Manager Davey Johnson sits Roberto Alomar against Randy Johnson for Jeff Reboulet on a gut feeling, then Reboulet hits a Home Run off Johnson in the first inning to kickstart a victory. Thank you always for your shows, Dustin Eastern Shore of MD, (formerly of College Park)
I’ve been listening to podcasts for 18 years every day, countless hours and hours. My podcast rotation includes genres ranging from comedy and politics to sports. Kevin is not just a sports podcast host. He doesn’t know it, but he’s been with me (in my ears) through life’s up and downs, heartache, joy, and grief. Recently, my mom passed and the best way I could connect with my dad to get him through some tough times has been talking to him about the ‘skins, Tommy’s Florida trips, and the recent DC weather drama. When my mind is unsettled, Kevin is my comfort blanket. I’m smarter because I listen to him. Not just smarter about sports, but smarter about life, how to talk with folks, how to relate. This review was a long time coming. He’s the best.
