Long time listener, first time reviewer. This podcast is my GO TO for 49er news and the standard at which I compare all my sports podcasts too. In a world of hot takes and bro sports journalism, it’s so great to hear two expert reporters giving us the 49er news with their expertise and without all the silly hot takes. Jennifer Lee Chan is such a refreshing voice in sports media. Fantastic reporter and speaker. Plus, as an Asian American it is wonderful to hear a woman Asian voice in sports. Thanks guys! You guys are such a big part of my 49er fandom.

I grew up reading Matt’s work and have always loved his work. I’ve been listening to this podcast for years now and find the positivity so much more refreshing than other sports teams or even different markets. I loved Matt and Laura’s chemistry and thought she was just incredible. It was a huge bummer when she left, and to be honest, was very disappointed. However, Jennifer has been really great. I love her insight as a reporter, as well. Matt and Jennifer have a nice chemistry and good knowledge of the ins and outs of the 49ers as well as the NFL.

I started listening to this podcast in 2022. I've always liked Matt and he has fun chemistry with Jennifer Lee Chan. That said, their coverage during what has been a difficult 49ers season has been lacking. They rarely levy any serious criticism against the front office, coaching staff or players. They try to spin everything in a positive light and are constantly acting like apologists for poor player performance and behavior. it's starting to become unlistenable… For an "insider" podcast they never break any news or revelatory information. For example with the latest scandal around De'Vondre Campbell they had absolutely no inkling of the attitude towards him that had clearly been festering with his teammates in the clubhouse throughout the season. In the latest episode, they spent a great deal of time talking up Deebo Samuel and praising him for stand up behavior with the media after after a particularly terrible game against LA. But they never brought up his confrontation with teammates on the sideline or ducking out of postgame press conferences earlier in the year after poor performances. At worst they say he was "not performing well recently" rather than calling it like it is that the player has been performing poorly literally the entire season. Really this is starting to feel like a PR fluff piece where the hosts bend over backwards to just "be nice" to everybody rather than keeping it real, objective, and providing actual in-depth insider coverage.

Love all that Matt and Jennifer brings to the Faithful each week but I do have a few suggestions. Can you please fix Jennifer’s microphone it either sounds like she’s in the next room or her speech keeps breaking up. Can you do more segments of opponents podcast to hear what they are saying like in the 9/25 podcast. Otherwise, keep up the great work!!
