Mel Barrett puts in an incredible amount of research and thought to the cases she brings to light in this excellent podcast series. She adds her unique, personal experiences in telling these stories, which allows the listener to connect on a deeper more personal level. An advocate for survivors and victims, Mel is one the the freshest new voices in this genre.

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical when I started listening to The In Between. But by the end I feel fired up. Mel has gone DEEP and reveals all the nooks and crannies of the Pamela Smart case in an open and non-judgmental way. I paid to listen to season 1 on the Grab Bag Collab Patreon feed and I cannot recommend this listen enough!

So excited to have found this podcast. Engaging and entertaining listen that I’m recommending to all my friends! As a lawyer and former prosecutor I’m picky about listening to things in this genre and Mel strikes just the right note.

Mel looks at cases and focuses on women, including LGBTQIA+, something that is really needed in the podcast world! More of this content please! I enjoyed the real content.
