What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

As a lifelong fan of EAP, I have read and listen to many iterations of his life. This, though, is a breath of fresh air. The voice acting was so well done I forgot I wasn’t watching a historical drama on the big screen. But the writing is what cinched it for me. This is a brand new take on the impetus behind Poe’s writing and it makes so much sense I absolutely believe it to be factual. Absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to see what else Genevieve has in store for us! No go listen to her My Victorian Nightmare podcast.

Dementians · Oct 2026

Spent a quiet Saturday enjoying this very well written and expertly executed performance of Poe’s life (reimagined). Loved all the voice acting and the production was top shelf. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Blondelobo · Sep 2026

This is the most perfect accompaniment for spooky season - it has all of the romantic, tragic, occasionally hilarious elements of an A-1 story around the fireplace, all while seamlessly incorporating EAP’s own life, relationships, and end, which lends a beautiful gravitas to the work. It’s an homage I think Poe himself would be proud of.

Gorgeous writing & wonderful acting. The storytelling formed into rhymes is truly food for the ears.
