Tales of the Night

by Sonoro | RDLN

This podcast is inhabited by the stories, urban legends, and horrors that you can find in towns not so different from yours; streets like the ones you walk every night; and even in a silent house in the middle of the night... exactly like yours. The darkness of the most successful and acclaimed horror podcast across all categories in Latin America now in English. Uriel Reyes was born in Tijuana, Baja California. As a child, he learned to comprehend the language of horror movies he found on American television, even though he didn't yet understand the language. He studied Communication at the Autonomous University of Baja California and later drew inspiration from the radio programs he listened to during insomnia-ridden early mornings, ghost stories, and a recording of Juan Rulfo reading a story from "El Llano en Llamas" to create "Relatos de la Noche" a podcast that has made him one of the most listened-to voices in the Spanish-speaking world. What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Uriel does such a wonderful job of telling all these spooky stories.. to the point you feel like you’re reliving them first hand with the story teller. I wish the uploads were twice a week not once, but they will do for now. Keep up the great work you will have a forever listener here !!!

Incredible stories. It’s so crazy to me that this podcast would get lukewarm reviews. These aren’t your average horror tales or (as much as I love them) only listener stories. I was shaken to my core by some of these in a way I haven’t been in a long time by a movie or book. Great selection, give it a chance and actually listen. Don’t get me wrong, I’m also a fan of just hopping in my car to zoom around town and listen to something easy digest that will give me a good scare, but this is a different level for sure. I prefer some formats to others, and not every story will be for everyone. But that’s the case for any podcast. overall, I’m super impressed. Sonoro does it again.

Very simple but mesmerizing stories. Told expertly in unique perfect-for-storytelling voice by narrator.

Historical home lover · Jul 2024

The production value on this is so minimal but SO good. The tone is unmatched as far as scary podcasts go. It’s hard to strike the right balance of being narratively engaging while utilizing spooky sound effects - and manage to keep them from dominating the stories. The cover art sets you up well for what’s to come. This is the only podcast I’ve found that can genuinely unsettle me. Headphones recommended.

Altius19 · May 2024

I wanted to like this show, but I’ve listened to over a dozen episodes and I can’t seem to remember a single stand out story. The writing is extremely boring and generic. The standing premise seems to be “I encountered a spooky moment and was ultimately fine.” Written at around the skill level of your average high school junior.
