SuperHuman is a high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat docuseries that dives into the launch of what many have called the “Doping Olympics” - the Enhanced Games - a controversial new sporting event where performance-enhanced athletes openly compete for a $1 million prize and attempt to push the human body beyond its natural limits. While the International Olympic Committee condemns it, broadcasters salivate over potential ratings, and critics decry it as grotesque even as they admit they’ll tune in. The Games ignite urgent questions about ethics, medicine, and the human body itself. From retired Olympians hoping for a comeback, to struggling athletes chasing financial security, to Silicon Valley billionaires and scientists pushing the boundaries of enhancement, this series pulls viewers inside the drama, danger, and allure of sport without a safety net. For the past year, we've embedded with the games and the athletes to answer the high stakes question. What happens when enhancement becomes the norm? Is this the end of fair play or the beginning of a new frontier of human potential? Step inside the experiment with us.

Finally an athletic podcast that doesn’t sound judgmentally narrated by some coastal journalist who’s never stepped foot in the gym or seriously performed a competitive sport. The narrators sound like they’re really bout that life and have really struggled with the same mental and physical issues that a lot of these seasoned athletes have dealt with as they near retirement. With the popularity of PEDs, these topics need to be approached objectively and with grace instead of judgment and snark. The interview with Dr. Israetel at the end was the cherry on top.
I am not a sports enthusiast so I was skeptical when I saw how this show was categorized, but the topic is so interesting and touches on so many aspects of today’s hyper-charged culture. I would have broadly judged the athletes who participate in this event, but hearing their stories I understand why they would inject a hibiscus-infused cocktail of peptides and other performance-enhancing drugs. The show takes a really excellent human angle on a topic that feels like clickbait headline fodder.
Thought it would be more of an insider’s look. Instead it seems to be a trope about fears of aging. Though it briefly touches on what effects this has on the kids watching, really leaves one wondering if this is just an advert dressed up as a podcast. Also, when mentioning the world record failed to mention the banned swimsuits. A complete journalistic fail.
