Risk Parity Radio

by Frank Vasquez

Risk Parity Radio is a podcast about investing located at www.riskparityradio.com.  RPR explores risk-parity style portfolios comprised of uncorrelated or negatively correlated asset classes -- stocks, selected bonds, gold, managed futures, and other easily accessible fund options for the DIY investor.  The goal is to construct portfolios that are robust and can be drawn down on in perpetuity, and to maximize projected Safe Withdrawal Rates regardless of projected overall returns.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Very useful for the DIY investor. I’ve gotten several actionable tips and explanations on different investment vehicles. Plus the knitty gritty of rebalancing. Making my job of managing my own portfolio easier. Well worth the listen. I love all the movie quotes and other interjections. He also gives links to portfolio tools on other websites.

Robbin53A · Jun 2025

Perhaps the best podcast on investing out there. A crash course on all things investing intertwined with a humorous delivery and funny soundbites! Thank you Frank for guiding us through the perilous waters of investing.

@Morz · Oct 2024

You either love Frank or you hate him. He’s a no-nonsense, don’t-pull-any-punches kind of guy, but he definitely knows his stuff. Took me a while to get used to the sound clips but now I enjoy them. I listen to every episode.

FIRE’d at 50 · May 2024

I know some people are complaining about all the sound bites (which aren’t present in earlier episodes) but the content here is fantastic. As someone who wants to be a DIY investor and gain an understanding of asset classes, portfolios, etc I have found it super-helpful. I’ve even learned to laugh at the sound bites and can be seen laughing like a complete goof on my long walks. Thanks so much for this, Frank and YOU have a gambling problem!

Dmc81 · Nov 2023

Awful and distracting sounds and sound bytes ruin what is probably good information. Sounds like it’s edited by a 12 year old gamer. Not listenable - gave up after three episodes. Highly recommend to wannabe podcasters on a lesson on what NOT to do.

Zymabean · Jun 2023

Dial back the use of sound clips. I can see using it here or there for levity but the overuse makes this podcast very difficult to listen to. Happy to give it a 5 if you can PLEASE dial down the use of clips literally EVERY MINUTE.
