The brilliant scholars break down this time period gives the narrative so much depth and perspective.
It helps you rethink what could have been if the true promise of a multiracial democracy had been realized back then. It’s not just a history lesson; it’s a necessary reflection on how we got to where we are today and the questions we are still struggling to answer as a nation.
