my deep appreciation to Finnfor researching and then presenting with accuracy an unvarnished history of my ancestors. Despite my third generation American Irish lineage, there is muchof the tragic and heroic history of the Irish people I haven’t known. My ancestors lie in the soil of Kilkenny, and Finn brings real narrative to what may have been their daily life.

Fin, you have helped me learn about my ancestors while making me feel connected to the people and land of Ireland. I am grateful.

Fin really brings the history alive and has made me more aware of my Irish heritage. The Great Hunger series is a must-listen.

I am really enjoying the War of Independence podcast . Huge huge thanks to al the team for bringing the excellent series to us and reminding us of our heroic ancestors and everything they did to give our country independence. I especially loved the episode with Liz Gills on the role women played in the revolutionary movement .

The audio level on your shows is too low. I’ve been listening for several years. I have a brand new iPhone turned up all the way. And, still cannot hear.

You also tend to give the impression that Ireland didn’t exist before the medieval period in the Roman clergy. I’ve noticed this in several episodes…
