I’m hooked on this show. The hosts are both knowledgeable and they have a wonderful way of telling the stories of WW2 without getting too bogged down in technical matters.
Both the hosts are excellent at balancing chit-chat with info. I am learning so much and it is so meaningful to me, coming from a family that has been “on both sides of the wire.”
The best podcast that I have found on World War 2. Matthias and Jesse cover all the nuance of the second world war and make it very digestible without ever being pretentious or getting too far off track. I learn something new every time I listen. Quickly has become one of my favorite podcasts. I highly recommend this podcast no matter what your knowledge of the war is.
Love the podcast. Jesse Alexander as always is outstanding when it comes to historical knowledge I enjoy listening to him a lot. Matthias Strohn is phenomenal really like how talks about the German army and many of the tactics that they use during the war. My favorite by far is the myth busting which is just really helpful for me the most. I would like to hear more about the African front and the Mediterranean campaign because two of my family members on my father side served in that area during the war. Overall I enjoyed this podcast lot and I just want to say thank you and keep the good work that both you guys do. From Sebastian Prout
