What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I was looking forward to this show. It has a lot going for it – great concept, strong writing, Iain Glen’s narration. But, for me at least, all those strengths are overpowered by a musical soundtrack that seems desperate to sound DRAMATIC! and THRILLING! and POWERFUL! at what seems like EVERY MOMENT. I know that some people like that sort of soundtrack — it’s the sound of the Lindsay Graham podcasts, which I find similarly unlistenable because of their music. For me, a good story, well written and well delivered, and with a bit of supporting music in the background, is enough. More music than that can ruin an otherwise good thing.
