This is a great podcast- informative, reminiscent, and enlightening. Brought topics I had forgotten about! I wish I knew the person who comes up with the topics for each episode because I have so many more ideas!
I was expecting this to be a bit of a bubblegum/pop podcast about the 90s (and I was here for it!), but this is not that. Very well researched, puts 90s events into new perspective.
This is the best pod for anyone interested in learning about what pop culture and world events shaped the western world in the 90s. It’s both nostalgic and reflective bringing listeners comfort and knowledge! To the reviews who say it’s too “liberal” or “political”… Don’t let them dissuade you. This is a show about historical events and ultimately their impact on today. Some of the things we did are more incredible than we could have ever imagined, and other times we really messed up. There is nothing political about reflection; it’s part of the beauty of getting to look back! If your worldview hasn’t changed much in 30 years, this show is for you. If your worldview has drastically changed since you were a kid, this show can help you understand why. THANK YOU to this show who makes a great effort to uncover the stories that us 90s kids were too young to understand while reminding us of the bops that filled our walkmans and VCRs. Keep up the good work!
This podcast is EXCELLENT. Legitimate journalism with Canadian restraint. I learn so much about events I should have known more about, and about things I thought I knew a lot about. Some tough, serious episodes and some sweet walks down, memory lane. I want every decade to have a podcast just like this! THANK YOU!
The content is good and detailed but they go out of their way to push a left-leaning political bias. It would be great if they just talked about the events in history and kept the personal political opinions out of a history podcast.
