I look forward to listening to Brea and Mallory just chatting!! Unlike book podcasts that talk about books, this is a podcast about reading. At first, I wasn’t sure there was a difference — but trust me, there is one. I am not a reader of many genres that they talk about but I still love all the discussions on improving our reading lives. The best part — there is no snobbishness on this show. Genres, tropes, non fiction, serious books, everything is welcome here. Highly recommend for everyone who is interested in reading.
Anytime I need some reading motivation or tips, I listen to these amazing women. I will consume all of the media they put out including their books and movies. Love reading glasses!
Ever since discovering this podcast I look forward to Thursdays so much! Not only does this show add to my TBR by bringing books to my attention that I may not otherwise know about, the conversation between both hosts is A+. It hardly ever fails that they get me laughing at something or other. I appreciate their honesty in everything they speak about, even if it may not be something I can relate to (I am not a fan of reading books that are heavy on romance, let alone smut). They cover a wide range of book categories and bookish categories. They are both the coolest, and I can only hope to be as rad as them someday. My #1 podcast for 2 years in a row!
Mallory and Brea are so funny and knowledgeable about all things reading! I have been introduced to so many new books, cool new book tech, and bookish apps/websites.
I was really hoping I’d discovered a new to me book podcast but this one fell flat for me. You’d think that since one of the hosts is an author that there’d be more descriptive content than the over usage of the F word. It’s not a show I’ll listen to again. It felt like they were trying too hard to be cool and outrageous but instead it was an unpleasant listening experience.
