I was desperate for another book analysis podcast on par with Fantasy Fangirls, that uplifted my Fangirl, geeky self feminist and soul and my gracious I fell in love with you two. I love your friendship and how much work you put into each episode, and the deep analysis and each pov. I really appreciate the fact that you don’t always agree with each other, I love that it’s not fully scripted and I absolutely adore the inclusivity and empowerment. It’s the best of an English college course analysis without all the patriarchal stressful bull. Lifetime listener ladies. I’d love to help you design anything, just to be part of the cool ladies club for merch. And let’s be honest, sweaters are life. Even so, I love you both. Thank you for all you do. 🖤
What I love most about this podcast is the way it makes me think. I’m a big fan of fantasy and sci fi and delving deep into the meaning of characters motivations, and Amy and Jac make sleuthing for clues on the “why” and “what if” so much more fun. The joy of reading fantasy, and reading fiction in general, is the opportunity to imagine all the words, actions, and moments that are left untold. I finished the ACOTAR series in a month, and like many readers, I wasn’t ready to leave the world behind. Thank you both for the many (many) hours of sifting through clues with you and finding new joy and discovery in the pages of SJM’s novels. Please grace us with a silver flames deep dive! I’m not ready to say goodbye just yet.
I love listening to these two deep dive into ACOTAR! Great discussion and sense of humor!
This podcast truly helped me through a deep breakup (to the point I couldn’t even listen to music😭). I am so grateful for this podcast bc I probably wouldn’t be here without it and how much it’s helped me heal. Now that I’m back to normal😂 this podcast brings out my inner English lit nerd that lives inside me and I get to geek out every time I listen to an episode. I absolutely love y’all’s points and always find myself finding more connections through the breadcrumbs and notes. Thank you for being the break from my hectic life and a breath of fresh air!
