This is probably my favorite HR fan podcast. Maybe because I feel like I’d actually hang out with Ada and Ruby. And I’m a writer and a marketer, so they often get excited about the same things I do. I’m new to this genre and fandom in general. So, it’s fun to listen to them discuss the cultural impact of the show and also the technical minutiae that I like to dive into.

I love the literary analysis of heated Rivalry in this podcast. I’ve been seeking exactly this in-depth analysis of Heated Rivalry from people who are watching the show also read and loved the books!!

I wish this podcast was just produced a bit better because the audio volumes fluctuate, there’s occasionally loud background noise, sometimes the audio is muffled or tinny, and sometimes there’s a bit too much chit chat. Generally here for this and it’s good, but it’s so close to being GREAT.

I have been trying to find a Heated Rivalry podcast that truly resonates with how I feel about this show. I have been searching for a podcast that feels like community. I have found my Cottage in this podcast. I was late to the HR zeitgeist and had what I consider, the privilege of watching this story unfold without having read the books or knowing anything about these characters. This podcast has added to that experience. It’s allowed me to sit with all the emotions that HR has pulled from my soul. Wonderfully done Ruby and Ada.

My para-relationship with the show and the books makes this podcast invaluable.
As a radio nerd, I wish the sound could be remastered, still I remain grateful for every word of this conversation.
Apparently love psychosis only lasts for six months. I don’t want mine to end.

I was excited for this at first - HUGE fan of Heated Rivalry! I chose the episode with the HR creator because I was eager to hear Jacob Tierney. He was great - but honestly I'm not crazy about the hosts or the overall structure of the pod. There really is no structure to this pod. The hosts seemed very amateurish and unprepared for this level of guest, especially. Both hosts were too giggly and unserious. One of the hosts wasted several minutes talking about an event from the book that didn't make it into the show (the "butt punch" book scene). It seemed ridiculous to me when she brought it up, and my impression from Jacob Tierney's response was that he felt the same way. Again, the hosts seemed very young, unserious and underprepared. And don't get me wrong - I love a pod that's fun and edgy. I'm all for a pod that gets me to laugh along with them. But this was just very very amateurish and not very well done. It absolutely didn't rise up to the level of their guests.
