The Last Dog is a thrilling and heartfelt audio adventure with the love story between a girl and a dog at its center.
In an apocalyptic future, climate change and overconsumption have made our planet a very different place. The seas have risen, resources are scarce…and animals have disappeared off the face of the earth. Most people believe they never existed at all.
12-year-old Iowa Chapman is not most people. And when she’s rescued by what might be the last remaining dog, she realizes the responsibility she has to keep this amazing creature safe. Pursued by the evil Regulators, Iowa and Doggo set off on a journey in search of Haven, a legendary island where some believe animals might still be living.

The plot is so creative and fun! It’s a genius idea where they include tons of mystery and suspense, as well as adventure. The story has lots of cliffhangers, but that’s part of what makes it so good! And it’s perfect for a long car ride. It’s similar to a dystopian story in the future, like “hunger games” or the “divergent” series, but with its own very creative and special twist. I’m looking forward to a possible 2nd part, inferring from the ending cliffhanger that the story isn’t done yet, and know it will be just as good as the first. Something that’s a bit confusing to me is in the end, when she got a phone and got the phone call. How come she got the call at perfect timing? And how did she even receive the call? It’s assumed that there is no wifi or cellular signal, and, my presumptions may be incorrect, that the phone could easily be inoperable from possible water damage and years of no use. It’s a great story and I would recommend it to anyone. It’s great for families and animal lovers, as well as mystery and action lovers. Y’all do a great job at GenZ media and I look forward to a possible part 2!

My kids and I listened to this every morning to school and after. They loved it. They are all hoping there will Be more to the story. They weren’t ready for it to be over. Me either.😂

I can’t believe no one noticed that the beginning and the end are exactly like Noah’s Ark! The world flooded in the beginning, and then there are two of even more animals! (Super sorry if this seems like a spoiler but there is the whole story I tried not to include.) Also, LOVE this story it is THE first story I’ve EVER heard on 3D AUDIO! Makes me soooooo pumped up while watching this! Definitely recommend please please please check it out and in my opinion, should be made a MOVIE ONE DAY!
