This is the only fictional podcast I’ve ever been able to listen to. It’s so well done that I legitimately had to look up if the cases are real. There’s something about Chase’s/Mike’s cadence as he tells the stories that is easy to listen to and makes you think any of these stories is truly possible. Excellent writing and performance. And I’m picky about my crime stories. This is like David Baldacci in podcast form but better, more believable, more realistic. Chase is much more relatable as a character and feels like a real person with real skills/faults, not the exaggerated perfect soldier/agent type of Baldacci, Patterson, Child, etc. Take a listen and you’ll see what I mean. 10/10 recommend.

I just binged the first season in one day, it’s that good. Chase Patrick’s pleasant delivery (and the cute background music) balances the dark subject matter well. This pod is incredibly good and I can’t wait to hear more. Well done!

What makes Crime Adjacent stand out is Chase Patrick’s personal stake in the story, his return to Ridgewood isn’t just investigative, it’s emotional.
The storytelling is sharp and refreshingly human Chase doesn’t sensationalize, he questions, wonders, and at time struggles with what he finds.
Crime Adjacent is an unmissable listen for anyone who loves a mystery that goes beyond the crime scene tape. It’s haunting, gripping and perhaps most unsettling of all true.

I’ve been really enjoying this. It feels like a literary podcast with true crime and society in general as the main characters. “Chase” is the best.
