I just finished the Obsession episode and - as someone who never writes reviews - felt compelled to write a review. I am chronically disappointed in all forms of media, and I mean that in the least pretentious way possible (if that’s possible). No fault to the creators - my brain is just severely dopamine deprived and most things are incapable of keeping my attention. This podcast, however, keeps me hooked from beginning to end! Every episode! Literally! The entire time!How do they do it??!!1!one!!?? I feel like I am rewatching each movie with my two besties providing the most in-depth and thought provoking commentary ever. I’m usually someone who runs to Reddit as soon as I’ve finished a good movie to see what others are thinking, and this podcast scratches that itch! I’ve even started watching some of the movies I’ve not yet seen just so I can listen to the episodes. Imagine loving a podcast so much you do homework to keep up?? That’s where I’m at. Tell all your friends about this podcast. It’s great!

So I love this podcast, just to start!! But I found this podcast when the (now) viral video on Instagram was circulating about the movie Hereditary. I followed the podcast, immediately, without hesitation. The way that brief clip of the episode was showcased was amazing. The details given, the background information, the history behind parts, the Easter eggs discussed, and the explanation these 2 women gave was exceptional. I love that the movies that are covered are not just new movies, and nor are they mainstream only. I love the pieces of information I get from the episodes that I never knew about, or hadn’t made the connection before while watching these movies. I hope these episodes continue weekly.. it’s really made my Wednesday mornings more enjoyable while I sip my coffee, and think of my own “bloody shovel award” 😅

Before I start I just wanna shout out the Q&A episode because it was nice to hear you two specifically calling out that everything is human made in the show which is super important . Otherwise, shockingly good coverage of horror movies and a really welcoming atmosphere. At the risk of being parasocial, it does feel like a chat with two friends only I happen to have lost my voice.
