What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I’ve been listening to this podcast off and on for a while and really enjoy it. The hosts seem to really advocate for horror movies but aren’t afraid to be critical when needed, which is great. Recommend!

I was looking for some horror movie entertainment & this did not disappoint! The Tales from the Hood episode was the first episode I listened to. I was really impressed to hear your perspectives on the social issues in this film. I’ve seen this movie countless times yet your point of views had me thinking about it even more so. Keep up the amazing work, look forward to hearing more!

Love the hosts easy banter and sharing of relevant trivia. Enjoy taking the trips through movies, current and past. Thanks!

Not a lot of deep analysis or profound understanding of many movies and they don’t really pretend to be, but I really appreciate the chill vibe and relaxed dialogue. Good pod to throw on when doing something that requires focus or to fall asleep to because you won’t be awaken with any disturbing loud cackling or surprised yelling. Overall enjoy the soft voices more than the content but appreciate the hosts at least asking the questions and remaining cool and respectful of some of the more delicate or female driven plot lines in the movies, for example when discussing The Substance i don’t feel like im being spoken down to by two men who are pretending to understand the woman’s experience but also not front loading it with buncha annoying modern wokeisms to appeal to female audience. They keep it cool and genuinely good natured. In that regard, would probably chose the hosts over a bear lol
